Quite a lot of this article is wrong or misleading.
Wrong is the human leather story. It is grounded on the dubious statements of Franz Blaha and Anton Pacholegg/Guttenberg, two dachau prisoners. The former an ardous communist, the latter a crook, both were not eye-witnesses. Interestingly Guttenberg was a relative of the German Minister who was exposed for plagiarism recently.

Wrong is the kidnapping story. The Rascher children were not kidnapped but Nini Rascher, Sigmunds wife, talked the mothers into giving her their kids in charge. (Source: Der Untergang des Hauses Rascher, 2. edition, 2011 and crimenal files of Bayerisches Landesarchiv).
Wrong is that Sigmunds wife was shot. Nini Rascher was hanged in April 1945 in the concentration of Ravensbrück (Source: Michael Kater, personal communication)
Misleading is the description of the underpressure experiment. This type of experiment, drop experiments, were also performed by the US-airforce and are neither deadly nor painful. In fact these experiments performed Rascher together with Romberg and there were no casualties. There were however casualties, may be 80, may be more, in experiments which Rascher performed alone. The protocol of these experiments (Höhendauerversuche) was different from the drop experiments. (Source: protocols of the doctors trial)
